Omnyx Integrated Digital Pathology (IDP) combines Omnyx-patented technologies with Microsoft client, server and database technologies. Omnyx IDP seamlessly integrates with a lab or hospital’s existing enterprise infrastructure – enabling you to maximize existing IT investments.
In the event of a network outage, the scanner can operate continuously off-line for up to 8 hours to eliminate research lab downtime.
Omnyx IDP has also been designed to conform to HIPAA security requirements including data encryption and is highly configurable for precise organizational and user level permission control.
Fully Integrated for The Entire Enterprise
Omnyx IDP is a scalable, high-throughput solution designed for single and multi-site pathology departments. Image streaming and retrieval is designed to perform using standard hospital networks and enables remote access using a VPN connection. Omnyx IDP is built based on a “private cloud” storage model. This allows access to scanned slides in any location in the network without moving the images. We provide a single consolidated view and every location is seamlessly connected – giving pathologists access to any case throughout the network. A comprehensive solution is provided and combines scanned slides with data from LIS systems, which is delivered through a robust integration specification.

Omnyx IDP is designed to scale as the hospital or other organization increases usage of the solution by growing volumes, deploying over multiple locations and compressing image files for fast viewing and reduced storage space.
Additionally, we have worked with hardware vendors to incorporate high-performing, standard components.
