Associate Product Manager
Associate Product Manager
Role Summary/Purpose
We are looking for a Associate Product Manager who understands the workflow of anatomic pathologists and the histology lab and can work closely with our software engineering team to make the use cases come to life in the product. Ideally, the candidate will understand Agile development processes and the role of a Product Owner.
Essential Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clinical user, IT professional, and engineering populations to ensure the use cases and requirements are developed to meet customer needs
- Work with user experience designers to translate solution design intent into requirements
- Analyze requirements to identify impacts to engineering, sales, implementation, and support teams
- Ensure requirements are actionable, inclusive of necessary detail, and clearly understood by the engineering team
- Manage a backlog of requirements based on the direction of the Senior Product Manager and customer feedback
- Perform iterative product planning (sprint planning) with the engineering team to prioritize the development cycle
- Negotiate trade-offs between functionality, usability, effort, and timeline within development cycle
- Assist in the beta-cycle of the product through developing user test scenarios and gathering customer feedback
- Work with clinical users, customers, and user experience designers to analyze, clarify, and prioritize product feedback
- Follow the Omnyx quality system guidelines for design input and change control of requirements
Qualifications/Requirements
- BS/MS in computer science, business or related fields
- Experience with anatomic pathology workflow and processes
- Minimum 1 yrs of product administration/management experience or APL-LIS implementation experience.
- Proven ability to communicate product requirements and direction with software engineering teams. Travel requirements – 25%

Assembly Technician
Essential Responsibilities
The successful candidate will join the Omnyx Scanner Manufacturing team and act under direction of the Manufacturing Manager and will be responsible for performing electro-mechanical assembly operations as part of the Scanner Assembly.
- Perform complex and precise electro-mechanical assembly work.
- Electro-mechanical assembly of power supplies, ePC’s and hardware in
- Must be able to work from complex and detailed manufacturing documentation and/or verbal and written instructions and specialized fixtures.
- Responsible for quality activities, including self inspection and tests. Updates production records and test results.
- Software downloads for motion controllers.
- Optical and camera assembly.
- Receiving Inspection of materials and components.
- Maintain detailed documentation of assembly and inspection processes.
- Identify discrepant materials/components both in writing and verbally to supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Work independently
Qualifications/Requirements
- Associates or Technical degree.
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- The ability to read product specifications, prints and test methods.
- Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.
- Knowlege of ISO13485 and FDA GMP Quality Management Systems.
- Excellent documentation abilities.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Microsoft Office skills.
- Basic knowledge of Statistical Process Control concepts.
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Consultant Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The successful candidate will join the Omnyx Scanner Hardware group for six month to one year contract and act under direct supervision from senior engineering staff to perform general product development engineering tasks including
- Provide general support to lead and senior mechanical and electrical engineering staff, including prototype builds of devices, fabrication, reliability and verification testing and analysis.
- Aid in the design and testing of manufacturing test fixtures
- Aid in Analyzing and resolving problems associated test set-ups for reliability and verification
- Researching and recommending test equipment, design tools, and laboratory tools appropriate for the characterization of a medical device’s physical properties and suitability
- Providing technical support to manufacturing and service as needed
- Aid in documentation of verification and reliability testing
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in engineering discipline or related discipline
- 3+ years experience in a product development atmosphere
- Experience performing verification and lifetime testing
- Experience in test methods execution and documentation
- Experience with reliability testing, both product and module levels.
- Familiarity with packaging/shipping reliability testing.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Outstanding problem solving skills
- Ability to present ideas and results effectively
- Clearance to work within the United States
Desired Characteristics

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):The successful candidate will join the Omnyx Scanner Hardware reporting directly to the VP of Instrument Research and Development and will work both independently and closely with other senior leadership team members to perform general development tasks such as Risk Assessment, Requirements Management, Design Verification and Change Control for a medical device including.

- Taking responsibility for supporting engineering change process,

Qualifications/Requirements
- BS in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering
- 7+ years overall engineering experience in an interdisciplinary product environment.
- 2+ years experience in a SE role while operating in an FDA regulated environment
- Experience in program planning, e.g. developing work breakdown structures, resource planning, program risk management

- Experience with requirements management tools
- Experience in facilitating safety risk management activities, e.g. process and design FMEAs
